A well-maintained boiler will save you money in the long term, on running costs and avoiding expensive repairs. The pressure gauge on your boiler should read around 1.5, but if this is significantly above or below, you need to act. Every boiler will differ, but if you have a Worcester Bosch boiler, see Worcester Bosch’s handy page here or their how-to video, so you can get the problem sorted.
During the summer months you may not feel a need to turn the heating on – but you should. Just 15 minutes or so once a month will keep the system working in order, see this page for more information
Bleeding your radiators is another important maintenance task that will keep your boiler working efficiently, and Worcester Bosch have a step-by-step guide to walk you through the process. This is simpler than it sounds, and it’s worth it for those extra efficiency points.
